March 2021

News & Notes

Research and new treatments continue to move forward in the field of Dravet syndrome. With the postponement of our 2020 conference due to the pandemic, we wanted to offer a virtual learning opportunity to bridge the gap until we can meet again in person next year at Cook Children's Medical Center.

Dr. Danielle Andrade, an adult neurologist who is an expert in Dravet syndrome (DS), is conducting a study of adult patients to improve the understanding of DS as patients age.
New ICD-10 codes for Dravet syndrome are now available to assure proper medical coding and help improve diagnosis, care, surveillance, research, and access for patients.
DSF is challenging you this March to Give Up Your Cup! Give up your coffee, tea or other "cup" for one day, one week, one month, or anything in between, then donate what you would have spent to DSF.
Meet community members Heather and Luella. They are currently hosting a hat fundraiser and are gearing up for their 8th Annual a cake 4 a cure fundraiser to directly benefit DSF
