Dear Friends,

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. Please help us to raise awareness for Dravet syndrome and other forms of epilepsy by spreading the word and educating your community. There are many ways you can help. Consider purchasing our Dravet merchandise to show off your support, make a donation to help fund research, or follow us on social media and be sure to share our Dravet Facts so that others can learn more. No matter how you get involved, we look forward to shedding light on Dravet syndrome.

Warmly,

Dravet Syndrome Foundation

The Connected Parent

We have partnered with The Connected Parent for a unique fundraising opportunity for our organization!

They just launched the beta version of their website that helps parents connect (for free) with disability, autism, or mental health resources for their children. Think of it as "Yelp," specifically for our community. As they are growing the number of businesses and reviews on their site, we have the opportunity to test it out while also raising money for DSF. For each review you submit, they will donate $1 to our organization, up to $3,000. All you need to do is go to theconnectedparent.net, create an account, and enter a review using our promo code: DSF. Valid through 11/15/22.

Dash For Dravet

What is better than Thanksgiving? How about Thanksgiving + a virtual run to raise awareness for Dravet syndrome? Before the feast, get your family and friends together for our 7th annual Dash for Dravet on Turkey Day! This virtual 5K can be run anywhere in the United States before, on, or after Thanksgiving! Run, walk, jog, roll, or treadmill at any comfortable pace because there is no time limit. Learn more here.

Mirror Moms

Jen Marasco-Kuhn, a Parent Ambassador for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, was recently featured in the Mirror Moms newsletter. Hear about how she and her husband, Chris Kuhn, channeled their fear and uncertainty into action by raising awareness of Dravet, helping other families, and fundraising to fuel research for treatments when their daughter Cora, now 2, was diagnosed with Dravet. Read the full story here.

Sibling Kits

Dravet impacts the whole family. It can be challenging for brothers and sisters when a sibling has a chronic illness like Dravet syndrome. They experience disrupted routines and worry about their other family members. That's why we have created Super Sibling Kits to help. These kits include resources and information to help better understand Dravet syndrome. Order a Super Sibling Kit for your child here.
