Dear Friends,

The autumn season is finally here and with it are many new opportunities to get involved with DSF! This time of year is typically a great time to get outside, enjoy the breeze, and spend time with your loved ones. That's why we have lots of upcoming events and opportunities for you!

Consider attending one of our final Day of Dravet events before they're over, participate in an upcoming Steps Toward a Cure event, or walk for a cure wherever you are in our 8th Annual Dash for Dravet Turkey Trot!

Wherever you are, whatever your comfort level is, we always appreciate your support and look forward to sharing these opportunities with you. Learn about more ways to get involved below!

Thank you,

Dravet Syndrome Foundation

The 8th Annual Dash for Dravet Turkey Trot is Here!

Our Annual Dash for Dravet Turkey Trot is back for its 8th year! This event is a virtual 5K that can be completed anywhere in the United States before, on, or after Thanksgiving Day. There is no time limit so you can walk, run, or jog at your own pace. Simply register yourself or a team as a fundraiser and share your efforts online to help us raise funds for DSF. The first 400 registrants will also get our new Turkey Trot t-shirt!

Learn more and register for the event here.

ORCHID Study

Patient participation in clinical trials is a critical part of how we achieve our mission and get closer to a cure. One opportunity available now is the ORCHID Study. This is a clinical research study for children with Dravet syndrome who are 1 to less than 2 years of age. It will help researchers determine how well the medication fenfluramine hydrochloride can treat patients. Learn more about the study and how to participate here.

Thank You!

For another year now, DSF has been one of the first organizations to receive the 2023 Top-Rated Award from Great Nonprofits! This is a huge honor and we are extremely thankful to our community who continuously supports us and allows us to receive such recognitions.

Learn more about Great Nonprofits, read inspiring stories shared from our community, and/or share your own here.

New Board Members

Please join us in welcoming our two newest board members, Dr. Gail Farfel and Dr. Bill Kirshner, who will help guide the foundation’s mission.

Those who serve on our Board of Directors do so on a voluntary basis, without compensation. We appreciate each of them sharing their gifts and talents with the organization. Learn more about our newest board members and who they are here.
