Dear Friends,

As August comes to a close, we are beginning to gear up for an exciting fall season. As we enter into September, we have several Steps Toward A Cure events happening in cities across the country, as well as some Day of Dravet workshops! Additionally, now is the time many of our kiddos head back to school, so it's a great time to check and make sure you have a Seizure Action Plan.

Learn more about how you can get involved this fall season below!

Thank you,

Dravet Syndrome Foundation

Back to School: Create a Seizure Action Plan

Do you have a loved one with Dravet syndrome going to school this year? If so, ensuring that they have a Seizure Action Plan in place can help keep them safe. A Seizure Action Plan (SAP) contains guidelines on how to respond during a seizure based on the patient’s medical history. This is critical to help your child's school stay informed and prepared in case of a seizure.

Learn more about SAPs and how to create one here.

Auction Fundraiser

This month, we have had the exciting opportunity to auction off a unique item to help us fundraiser for DSF. Award-winning AI Artist, Pindar Van Arman, is offering the winner of this auction a one-of-a-kind, custom portrait painting, created entirely using AI!

The auction ends at the end of this month, so this is your last chance to bid on this unique item! Learn more about the artist and start bidding here.

Day of Dravet

We invite you to join us for a Day of Dravet Workshop near you! This is a time for patients and their families to come together to learn about research and treatment, connect with one another, and be a part of a DSF’s shared vision for a better outcome for those affected by Dravet syndrome.

Workshops will be held in various locations across the United States. See which workshop is closest to you here.

Marlins For Mason

A few weeks ago, one of our fundraisers held the first ever Marlins For Mason event! Together, this incredible family and their event participants helped raise over $300,000 for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation! Now, they're gearing up for their next event, a billfish release tournament, in 2024!

Learn more about how you can join the event, help support the event, or hear more about Mason's journey here.
